The ideal gift for all Japan lovers and for those who didn't know what they were missing out on by not experiencing Japan's culture.
About the author:
Axel Schwab is considered an expert on Japanese cuisine and culture. He lived in Tokyo for more than five years and based on his experiences there published the travel guide "Labyrinth Tokyo", which is popular with many Tokyo travelers. In the meantime, the tour guide has been supplemented by the books "Experience Tokyo Culture", "Playing Japan in 60 Steps" and the restaurant guide "Enjoying Tokyo". Back in Germany, he is always on the lookout for good, authentic Japanese food and specialty stores with a Japanese connection. So it was only natural to write the city and restaurant guides "Japan in Berlin", "Japan in Hamburg", "Japan in Düsseldorf" and "Japan in Munich". With the "Sushi Guide" he imparts extensive knowledge about sushi and tries to make nigiri sushi more popular in addition to the sushi rolls that are popular in Germany. In addition to the books, he provides his readers with up-to-date information through the blogs www.japanin.berlin and www.japan-in-muenchen.de. Every year, the author visits Japan for several weeks to keep up to date for the new editions of his books and to recalibrate his taste buds as a restaurant tester.
