The original Matcha sieve from Ippodo.
For the preparation of Matcha - whether as a pure drink or in Matcha mixed drinks - it is important that the Matcha is finely sieved and no lumps are present. This results in a much finer foam when whipped with a bamboo broom.
Scope of delivery:
Tin with snap-on lid
Wooden spatula and sieve insert

How it works: The sieve sits in the opening of the can. Use the bamboo spoon (chashaku) or a teaspoon to put the matcha powder into the sieve. With the enclosed small spatula the Matcha is now stroked through the sieve. Alternatively, the Matcha can also be stroked through the sieve with a bamboo spoon. It is recommended that you always screen exactly the amount you need in Matcha. The Matcha should not be sieved on stock, as the powder will clump together again after a few hours due to the humidity.
