The basic form of the matcha bowl Aoshino-Unofu is hand-cast after the clay has dried, so that each bowl is individualized. Afterwards, the master potters skillfully influence the surface structure during the firing process, whose randomly occurring masters on the white colour glaze usually resemble landscape paintings. The Unofu style of the same name has been established in Japan since the Momoyama era at the end of the 16th century.
