Shutaro Hayashi harvested the Miumori Shincha on April 27 and processed it into aracha (raw tea). To preserve the freshness, sweetness and mild lightness of spring, this shincha was not final heated, which gives it a residual moisture of about 5%. This state, in which the tea can be stored at room temperature for only a short time, is called aracha (raw tea). Only a small amount of this particular tea was produced this year. The bushes were shaded for about a week before harvesting.
