Keiko Kabuse No. 2 (organic) - harmonious Kabusecha with a lively character
Do you love not just drinking tea, but experiencing it? Then this Kabusecha could be your new everyday companion: The Keiko Kabuse No. 2 (organic) comes from the first June harvest and combines fresh lightness with fine depth in a wonderfully balanced way.
The tea leaves grow in semi-shade - a traditional cultivation method known as kabuse - in which the tea bushes are covered with translucent nets around a week before harvesting. The result? A bright green infusion with a soft, aromatic structure, subtle sweetness and complex umami notes. In the cup, it is a bright spring green, accompanied by a fragrance reminiscent of freshly cut grass and young leaves.
For tea lovers with a keen sense of quality, Kabuse No. 2 offers an excellent opportunity to delve deeper into the world of semi-shaded teas - somewhere between the subtle sophistication of a Gyokuro and the directness of a Sencha.

- Water temperature: 55°C - 75°C
- Brewing time: 50 seconds for the first infusion, 10 seconds for each subsequent infusion (up to 4 possible)
Tip: You can infuse the same tea several times. This allows it to unfold new nuances with each infusion - from vibrant green to velvety and smooth.

Further information
"Kabusecha" translates as "shaded tea". By gently darkening the tea plants, they reduce their bitter content and produce more theanine - an amino acid known for its relaxing potential. At the same time, it produces the characteristic umami that connoisseurs appreciate so much about Japanese teas.
