萌 - MOE is the colour of young shoots in spring.
The Matsumoto family produces this highly appreciated tea in their small tea garden in Kumamoto, without the use of pesticides. Since only very fine leaves are harvested for the shincha, the harvest is so small that only a few kilograms can be offered outside Japan each year.
This shincha is also excellent for preparation with cold water. When preparing with cold water, please extend the infusion time to at least 5-6 minutes.
