Matcha Tennouzan
High grade matcha tea from Yamamasa Koyamaen
Koicha (thick tea) grade Uji matcha.
Origin: Kyoto Prefecture, Japan
A deep, full-bodied, intense Koicha matcha with a long aftertaste, offering aromas of roasted seeds, roasted coffee, cocoa beans and dark chocolate with a hint of creaminess. This tea is a good choice for those who are looking for characteristic rather than mild, sweet aromas. When drunk as a thin tea (Usucha), the harmony of the tea's aromas is slightly disturbed, which often brings out astringency and bitterness. It is therefore worth preparing it in a higher dilution (70 ml 80°C warm water for 1.5 g of tea). It is best drunk as thick tea (Koicha).
