Kirishima Tokujou Sencha (organic) - the finest spring greeting from Japan's tea gardens
Are you looking for a green tea that is more than just a morning pick-me-up? The Kirishima Tokujou Sencha elegantly combines the depth of traditional cultivation with the fine art of Japanese tea refinement - a tea for connoisseurs with a sense of nuance.
The basis of this organic Sencha is a harmonious composition of two cultivars: Asatsuyu - also known as "the natural Gyokuro" - has a velvety sweetness and exceptional clarity thanks to its long shading. It is complemented by the cultivar Yabukita, the classic among Japan's tea bush varieties, with fine umami and balanced freshness. Together, they produce a light green infusion with remarkable depth, a mild body and a floral finish.
At first, you feel the silky texture and an almost creamy lightness on the tongue. Then a spectrum of soft spring notes opens up, white flowers, damp grass, a hint of forest air... A tea that is not loud - but lingers for a long time.
From the misty landscape of Kirishima - cultivated with care
The Kirishima Tokujou Sencha comes from the garden of Shutaro Hayashi, one of Japan's best-known organic tea farmers. His fields are located in the misty heights of the Kirishima Mountains in southern Kyushu - far away from industrial agriculture. The volcanic soil, the cool microclimate and the careful care of the tea bushes give this tea its natural depth.

Preparation - how to unleash the full aroma
- Quantity: 1-2 teaspoons (approx. 4-6 g) per 200 ml of water
- Temperature: 50-60 °C - this preserves the volatile aromatic substances
- Brewing time: 50 seconds for the first infusion, 10-15 seconds for subsequent infusions (up to 4 recommended)
Multiple infusions give the Sencha new facets with each infusion - ideal for short breaks or a quiet ritual in between
.A tea for you when ...
... you don't just want to drink tea, you want to experience it. If you value organic quality but don't want to compromise on depth of character. And if you like to think outside the box - be it culinary, cultural or philosophical.
