Kamairicha (釜炒り茶, "kettle-roasted tea") is a specially refined Japanese green tea variety. Unlike classic Sencha, its leaves are not steamed during production, but placed in a kettle (kama) and roasted for a short time. A method that is otherwise only used in China. This gives this tea its unique flavor.
