The Genmaicha with Matcha is an original blend of high quality organic Sencha, the Kirishima organic Matcha Premium and roasted organic whole rice

The advantage to traditional tea is being able to absorb the beneficial ingredients contained in both whole grain rice and Sencha tea leaves and powder of Premium Matcha from Kirishima from a single cup of tea. Genmaicha is known for its fragrant and refreshing taste of roasted whole grain rice. To enhance this fragrance, it is important to prepare the tea with hot water.

Because it is mixed with grains such as brown rice, among others, the amount of tea leaves used in Genmaicha is about half that of Sencha, so the caffeine content is also reduced. The organic sencha used, with its dark green leaves, thrives in the Okuyame region. Okuyame is located amidst evergreen mountains at about 600 meters above sea level east of Yame County in Fukuoka Prefecture on Kyushu Island.
