In contrast to the usual bancha, which is usually harvested in late fall, this organic tea comes from an early June harvest. The leaves are still growing vigorously at this time, full of lively energy - which is noticeable in the cup: mild, delicately tart, with a surprisingly fruity nuance. The result is a bancha that is on a par with good sencha in terms of taste - and yet goes its very own, subtle way.

Its roots lie in the mountainous region of Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture - a region known for its respectful treatment of nature. This is exactly where our Yame Bancha is processed by hand according to strict ecological criteria. Without any pressure. Without any rush. But with care and experience for generations.
