In the middle of this tranquil, unspoiled landscape lies Okuyame - a remote mountain region at an altitude of 600 meters in the Japanese prefecture of Fukuoka. This is exactly where our Yame Sencha with Matcha comes from: a harmonious composition of the finest First Flush Sencha and carefully ground drinking-grade Matcha, naturally grown organically.

A gift from nature - grown in harmony with it

The cool temperatures and regular snowfall in Okuyame create a microclimate that tea bushes could only wish for. Pests stay away and there is no need to use chemicals - the result is a tea that draws on the power of nature. The farmers work in harmony with the cycle of the seasons, fertilize exclusively with fermented, organic bokashi and carefully observe every stage of growth. Patience, humility and knowledge - these are the key ingredients of this special tea.

This care has been rewarded: The Yame Sencha Cultivar was awarded first place at the national premium tea competition in Japan in 2017. An award that speaks volumes about origin and craftsmanship - and about taste.

Recommended preparation:

• Quantity: 1.5 g per 200 ml of water
• Water temperature: 70 °C
• Brewing time: 180 seconds for the first infusion, 30 seconds each for the second and third infusion
