The Kirishima region is known for its volcanic soils and frequent fog, which acts like a natural parasol. The result? A tea full of natural sweetness, depth and balance. The shrub varieties used - including Asatsuyu, Yabukita, Okumidori and more - are grown at an organically farmed altitude of around 500 meters, far away from synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

The difference is evident in the cup: Silk Balance flatters with an extremely soft mouthfeel, accompanied by fresh, slightly grassy notes and a subtle sweetness. Our matcha comes from a certified organic tea farm that is characterized by its uncompromising care. No pesticides, no herbicides - instead, balanced soils, hand-picked leaves and a home-made compost that is fermented for four years. The matcha is gently ground on granite stone mills - only about 30 grams per hour - to obtain the finest possible powder. This creates the classic, velvety texture with intense color brilliance and creamy foam.
