The Sencha Tsuyu Hikari comes from a highly exciting cross between two remarkable tea varieties: Asatsuyu, which is not known as "natural Gyokuro" for nothing, meets Shizu7132, a line famous for its floral nuances and bright, green aroma. The result: a sencha with exceptional umami, restrained tartness and surprising depth on the tongue.

After the official registration of the variety in 2000, it was eight years before the first commercial harvest took place. And even today, Tsuyu Hikari remains a rarity - not because of a lack of demand, but because cultivation areas are limited and its cultivation is demanding. This makes every infusion all the more valuable.
