According to Japanese mythology, Takashiho is the land where Ninigi, sent by his grandmother Amaterasu, the sun goddess, descended, i.e. the origin of Japan.
There we also find the cave where Amaterasu hid until she was lured out by Ame-no-Uzume's dance. It is from there, in the Miyazaki region on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu, that the Sencha Takashiho comes.
With its sweetness paired with mildness, full of natural umami, the Sencha Takachiho is strongly reminiscent of a Gyokuro. For optimal enjoyment, we recommend a water temperature of 70°C and a brewing time of 60-90 seconds for the first infusion. For the second infusion, 5 seconds is usually enough.
Pack á 100 gram
