Essential Notes for Professional Use

⚠ Please note:

All Matcha varieties contain the same natural nutrients – the primary differences are color and flavor profiles. Rule of thumb: More affordable grades are bolder and darker; premium grades are finer and more luminous.

Matcha is extremely efficient. For comparison: One Matcha Latte requires only 1–2 g of Matcha, compared to roughly 15 g of ground coffee.

Typical Dosages:
  • Matcha Latte: 1–2 g
  • Ice Cream Production: 7–10 g per liter
  • Matcha Cheesecake: 3–5 g

The visual impact in the final product depends on the specific grade and dosage used.

B2B Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

What exactly is Matcha?
Matcha is finely ground Japanese green tea. The tea leaves are shaded before harvest, processed with care, and stone-ground into a luminous green powder. Learn more at www.matcha.de.
What is a Matcha Latte?
A Matcha Latte combines high-grade Matcha with dairy or plant-based milk – similar to a Latte Macchiato, but with the distinct benefits of green tea.
How long does the preparation take?
About the same time as a Cappuccino. Matcha is whisked with hot water until frothy – fast, simple, and visually stunning for your customers.
Which accessories do I need?
To start: A Matcha bowl (Chawan), bamboo whisk (Chasen), and a measuring spoon. For professional volume, we offer specialized equipment for high-efficiency workflows.
Can my staff learn this quickly?
Absolutely. With our straightforward preparation guide, your team will be able to serve perfect Matcha consistently.
Is Matcha an allergen that requires labeling?
No. Matcha does not contain any allergens that require mandatory labeling. Caffeine labeling is also generally not required for tea-based drinks (this is not legal advice).
Do you offer "Ceremonial Matcha"?
"Ceremonial Matcha" is primarily a Western marketing term – it does not exist as an official category in Japan. Instead, quality is determined by criteria like Koicha (濃茶) or Usucha (薄茶), origin, and color. We provide transparent quality markers instead of vague marketing labels.
