For this high-quality drinking-grade matcha, the particularly delicate leaves are shaded two weeks before harvest. This allows them to develop an expressive sweetness, a fruity-floral fragrance and an intense color that can only be achieved with special care. Haruyo and Shigeru Morimoto know the secret behind this shrub variety - and you can taste it in every cup.

The special feature: Only around 10 kilograms of this premium quality are produced each year. The limited harvest quantity makes each bag a valuable piece of Japanese tea art - full of passion, closeness to nature and family work.

The Morimoto tea bushes grow in a diverse plant world, far away from industrial monocultures. For over 40 years, the family has pursued an ecologically consistent approach - with respect for biodiversity, soil life and climate balance. They consciously cultivate seven different shrub varieties, each with its own characteristics. This not only ensures depth of flavor, but also protects the plants from environmental influences in a natural way.

For a particularly creamy bowl of matcha, we recommend straining the powder through a fine sieve before preparation to avoid lumps.
