Bamboo brush - 80 bristles
The bamboo brush is almost an indispensable tool to stir Matcha correctly in water and to whisk it properly. The Matcha powder spreads very well by beating with the bamboo brush, no lumps are formed in the drink and the brush forms a fine foam on the surface. The more bristles the brush has, the finer is the foam in the Matcha bowl.
You should never stir Matcha with a spoon in water, as lump formation is inevitable .
It needs a little practice to obtain a nice foam in the Matcha bowl. On our page with the preparation information for Matcha, you will see the correct use of the bamboo brush.
Please note that the bamboo brush is to be used correctly only for vessels with a wide opening, like for example, a Matcha bowl. If you want to prepare Matcha in a glass or a mug, the electric Matcha foamer is certainly more suitable.
In order to extend the life of your bamboo brush, we recommend a suitable bamboo brush holder.
Tip: Soak the bristles of the bamboo brush before the very first use for 30 minutes in warm water, most easily in the Matcha bowl. The bristles swell up a little and they become softer, which makes the preparation easier. Besides, you should soak the bristles of the bamboo brush for approx. 5-10 minutes in warm water before every preparation of the Matcha.
