Bio Matcha Silk Supreme - for the fine, quiet moments
If you don't just drink tea, but see it as a small mindfulness practice, then this matcha is made for you. The Bio Matcha Silk Supreme is an exceptional tea - in every respect. It comes from organic cultivation in Kirishima (Kagoshima Prefecture) in the south of Japan - a region where time seems to move a little slower. Right there, where fog lies like a natural curtain over the tea fields, a powder is created year after year that is so silky, so pure and so harmonious that its quality becomes palatable.
The name Silk is no coincidence: the taste of this matcha is soft and round, without any bitterness, with a fine sweetness on the finish. Its aroma is reminiscent of fresh grass after a rain shower; its mouthfeel is creamy, almost velvety. The color? Bright jade green - a promise of what awaits you. Whether as Usucha (classically foamed) or as Koicha (intense and thick), Silk Supreme shows in both forms what is possible when man, plant and earth form a deep connection.
From root to leaf: sustainably grown
Our partner farm in Kirishima not only works organically, it also takes cultivation one step further. The tea plants are allowed to take root for up to five years before they are harvested for the first time - this ensures robustness and a wealth of nutrients. The tea is fertilized exclusively with the company's own compost, fermented for four years from regional plants and bark. Pesticides? There are none here. Instead, the farmers rely on natural pest control with water and air pressure - and patience.
The location at an altitude of around 500 meters ensures slow growth, intensive aroma development due to temperature gradients and protection from intense sunlight due to dense morning mist. This produces tea leaves with a particularly high concentration of theanine, catechins and polyphenols - substances that are not only tangible in terms of taste, but can also support you in your daily mindfulness practice.
How to prepare your bowl of silkiness:
- Put 1-2 lightly heaped bamboo spoons of matcha (approx. 1-2 g) into your tea bowl
- .
- Add a small sip of approx. 70 °C warm water and stir to a smooth paste.
- Fill up with more water (max. 80 °C) - according to your taste.
- Beat with a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a zig-zag motion until a fine, green foam forms.
For koicha, simply double the amount of matcha and only half as much water - the result is a creamy treat that almost looks like a matcha latte without milk.
Transparency and trust - right from the start
Organic Matcha Silk Supreme is made from 100% Japanese organic matcha, produced from the varieties Asatsuyu, Yabukita and Okumidori. It is ground slowly in traditional granite stone mills - around 30 g per hour - for a particularly fine, homogeneous powder. Processing takes place directly on site under strict hygienic conditions. Every batch is tested for pesticide and radiation residues in the strictest laboratory in Germany - for over 18 years, always without any abnormalities.
For enjoyable rituals away from everyday life
Whether you create a little still life for yourself in the morning with tea, a bowl, kettle and bamboo whisk - or enjoy the moment on your terrace in the afternoon sun: This matcha invites you to simply be for a moment.
