Teelirium Organic Matcha Chocolate - Green Tea Flakes (Tencha)

Finest white organic chocolate with original Japanese organic matcha from Teelirium and fine green tea flakes (Tencha).

Tencha (碾 茶) refers to a processing step in the production of matcha. After the tea leaves are harvested and steamed, the leaf flesh is separated from the petioles, branches and stems of the leaves. These fine flakes of leaf flesh are called tencha. This tencha is then ground into matcha powder on the granite stone mills.

This is where our organic white chocolate with original Japanese organic matcha from Teelirium meets these fine green tea flakes and combines to create a true delight - all from certified organic cultivation, of course. In the development of our chocolate, we have placed great emphasis on the highest quality of raw materials:

The philosophy of our chocolate producer in detail:

Chocolate at fixed producer prices

Especially important for our chocolate producer is the 100% traceability of the origin of the basic ingredients cocoa beans, cane sugar and milk.

To achieve this, the owner of the chocolate confectionery had to search for cocoa and sugar farmers for a very long time, whom he could pay DIRECTLY, because in the main export countries of the two raw materials it is common that many benefit from the trade, but unfortunately almost none of it reaches the farmers.

This step of direct purchasing is practically unique in the entire industry of fine chocolate manufacturers: The direct purchase of all cocoa beans from farmers in Colombia and cane sugar from sugar farmers in Paraguay via two reliable partners.

Quality has its price, which should also reach the producer. Our partner therefore pays about four times more for cocoa than for African cocoa beans. The cocoa farmers are also paid a fixed price, independent of the world market price, which is determined by the stock exchange.

Many areas in South America are shaken by civil war-like conditions, drug cultivation and trafficking and the violence associated with it, and offer people hardly any prospects. Our partner, the chocolate confectionery tries to support the local farmers and especially the children through various aid projects.

The milk - the good is so close

Our chocolate producer from Bavaria obtains the milk for the chocolates from the regional milk brand Sternenfair.

Their concept offers the affiliated farmers - exclusively from the region - a good and fair milk price. In addition, animal-friendly husbandry and ruminant-friendly feeding of the dairy cows is a matter of course and thus also actively contributes to environmental protection. The approximately 1 million liters of milk per year are collected directly from the farmer and passed on for roller drying. Although roller drying is a complex, but mainly a particularly gentle way of obtaining milk powder, our producer attaches great importance to it because of its better quality and taste.
