Mie Yanagicha Bancha (organic) - mild freshness from the second harvest
Do you love to pause for a moment? To feel the moment while the scent of freshly brewed tea fills the room? Then this bancha could be just the thing for your daily ritual: delicate, natural and full of gentle energy.
The Mie Yanagicha Bancha comes from the second harvest in the Hayashi family's traditional organic tea garden in the Japanese prefecture of Mie. Two weeks after the first plucking, the tender leaf stems and leaves that were deliberately left on the plant during the first cut are harvested. During this short period of time, they were able to ripen carefully - enough to give a mild, balanced tea experience without losing any of its finesse.
What makes this bancha special? Its fine structure - typical of the Mie region - and a remarkably smooth taste. Subtle citrus notes are reminiscent of morning dew, while the floral depth has a faint echo of the warm summer forest. Perfect as an afternoon companion or for inner contemplation in the evening.
It is produced in harmony with nature: since the 1970s, the Hayashi family has consistently pursued organic farming methods. Iwao Hayashi is still regarded as a pioneer within the Japanese organic tea scene. His son Kimihiko continues the family tradition with calm dedication - tea production follows the principles of "half fukamushi" steaming. For you, this means a particularly harmonious infusion with a delicate body, clear cup and minimal steeping time.
- Quantity: 1 teaspoon per 200 ml of water
- Water temperature: 60-70 °C
- Brewing time: 60 seconds for the first infusion, only 10 seconds for the following infusions
The Mie Yanagicha Bancha is a fine everyday tea - carefully produced, smooth in taste and ideal for anyone who makes conscious choices. Whether you are structuring your day or simply taking a moment to unwind, this tea will help you find your way back to calm.
