Tea master Mankichi Watanabe - a pioneer of organic tea cultivation in Yakushima - deliberately goes his own way with this Genmaicha. Instead of simple bancha, he uses particularly fine, intensely green leaves from his own cultivation. He sources the unroasted organic rice from Kyushu - and then roasts it himself, directly on the island. As a result, this tea not only bears his signature, but also the entire soul of the garden.
