Suikyo Mizucha (bio) - coldly devoted, deeply touching
Imagine a tea that unfolds its whole soul even in cold water - quietly, almost meditatively. Suikyo Mizucha is just such a tea. A fine green companion for the warm days of the year, but also for quiet moments when you are looking for refreshment - without hectic, without compromise.
This mizucha - "mizu" for cold water, "cha" for tea - comes from the almost mystical-looking hilly landscapes near Nara, cultivated by Fumiaki and Luna with a remarkable dedication to soil, plant and time. They completely avoid industrial fertilizers and instead rely on home-grown grasses and natural pomace: a subtle dialogue between soil and leaf that can be felt in your cup.
Naturally sweet. Effortlessly clear. Finely balanced. The fine, hand-processed tea leaves dissolve almost weightlessly in cold water - releasing a gentle, fresh aroma with a subtle sweetness. No bitterness, no aftertaste. Just what the plant wants, not what is demanded of it. If you move the pyramid bags slightly during the draw, the entire aroma spectrum unfolds.
Ideal as a chilled iced tea on summer days or as a mindful companion to your afternoon break - without caffeine peaks, but with a quiet, revitalizing alertness. How to prepare your Mizucha:
- Infused cold: 1 sachet in 500-1000 ml of chilled water, leave to infuse for about 1 minute. For 2-3 further infusions: 2-3 minutes infusion time each - the tea remains mild and bitter-free.
- Warm infusion: 70 °C hot water, first infusion time 60 seconds, second and third 30 seconds each.
The pyramid bags contain 5 g of loose leaves - carefully packaged, easy to dose and ideal for your conscious tea routines. A total of 10 bags per pack.
The Suikyo tea garden - where every root counts
Secluded between green hills, plants thrive in the Suikyo Tea Garden that show more than just growth: they tell of ancient knowledge, patience and a deep understanding of ecological rhythms. Some plants come from seeds (mishou), others from cuttings - both types take root where they feel most comfortable, be it in flat garden terraces or on wild, never leveled tea mountains.
This diversity creates teas with an extraordinary depth of structure. Plants with taproots reach minerals from the deeper layers of the earth. The carefully applied layer of grasses, leaves and pomace on the garden terraces also provides nutrients for the younger plants. Everything remains in the cycle. Without artificiality. Without haste.
Fumiaki and Luna see their garden not as a production area, but as a living organism. And this is directly reflected in your Mizucha.
Suikyo Mizucha is more than just a cool summer tea. It is a silent companion for anyone who wants to go deeper with a sip. For you, if you want to not just think mindfulness, but taste it.
