Bio Matcha Silk Yuki - the subtle everyday matcha with depth
Light, clear and still - "Yuki" means snow. And this matcha from organic cultivation in the Japanese prefecture of Kagoshima is indeed reminiscent of a fresh winter morning: gently invigorating, pleasantly restrained and yet full of substance if you take a closer look. A tea that invites you to pause for a moment - and gives you a feeling of clarity with every bowl.
Bio Matcha Silk Yuki is a so-called "drinking grade" matcha - ideal for daily consumption, whether on its own or in creative recipes. Its special feature lies in its transformability of taste: served cold, it is delicately grassy, almost like a breath of fresh morning air. If you enjoy it warm (at around 70 °C), it develops a pleasantly round, softly roasted aroma with a subtle nuttiness. A tea that changes - just like you.Where its character comes from
Silk Yuki is a harmonious composition of tradition and modern organic craftsmanship - made from six fine bush varieties: Asatsuyu, Asanoka, Yabukita, Kanayamidori, Okuyutaka and Okumidori. The leaves come from an organic tea plantation at an altitude of around 500 meters in Kirishima, a region with a high incidence of fog. This natural shady climate promotes the high content of L-theanine - the amino acid that not only brings depth of flavor, but also mental serenity.
An additional quality feature: the younger tea plants are harvested for the first time after five years at the earliest. Why is this important? Their roots grow deeper, the leaves are richer in nutrients and more resilient - a philosophy of growing trust in nature.
Healthy drive for your everyday life
Silk Yuki is your reliable matcha companion for days with inner demands: its numerous antioxidant plant substances (high ORAC value) protect your cells, its velvety mouthfeel stimulates the senses - and its lasting caffeine kick has a gentler but longer-lasting effect than a classic coffee. Ideal for conscious routines in the morning or as a mindful afternoon ritual.
Taste with origin
Each portion of Silk Yuki is a piece of earth, air and craftsmanship from southern Japan. The leaves are harvested by hand, shaded and gently processed. They are ground exclusively on slowly rotating granite stone mills - a process that preserves the fragility and freshness and produces a velvety, almost dust-fine powder. An intensely fragrant, chlorophyll-rich green like freshly ground moss.
Recommended preparation
- Pour 1-2 bamboo spoons (approx. 1-2 g) of matcha into a bowl
- Mix with a sip of hot water (max. 80 °C, ideal: 65-70 °C) to form a smooth paste
- Infuse with water (depending on the desired intensity)
- Beat with the Chasen in zigzag movements until frothy
It unfolds its freshness when infused cold in sparkling water or plant-based milk - an insider tip for the summer!

- Yasmin E., 11/20/2024Leider war der Matcha nicht so hoch qualitativ wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Die Farbe ist eher so einen dunklen grün und der Geschmack war bitter.
