The leaves for this matcha come from the Morimoto family's organic tea garden in Miyazaki, in southern Japan. Instead of traditionally using only shaded leaves as in classic matcha, this powdered tea combines the properties of several shrub varieties: Minami Sayaka, Yabukita and Oku Yutaka give it depth and freshness, while the unshaded leaves of the Oku Midori variety add a lively, slightly tangy note. The result is an intense green that inspires - both in color and taste.

Gently ground on small ceramic mills, the result is a fine powder that dissolves perfectly in hot and cold drinks. This matcha really comes into its own in summer: Whether as an ice-cold shake with oat milk, pure in still water or as an ingredient in creative recipe ideas - the possible uses are as versatile as your kitchen.

Organic Morimoto Matcha can also be prepared in the traditional way: 1-2 grams in 300 ml of water (max. 80 °C) ensures an intense taste experience full of green elegance. For a particularly silky result, we recommend passing the powder through a fine kitchen sieve before infusing.
