In contrast to simpler Kabuse Senchas, this organic tea impresses with a multi-faceted interplay of aromas: a pleasantly present sweetness, embedded in juicy, fruity notes and accompanied by a gentle umami finish. The term kabusecha stands for "covered tea". Around a week before harvesting, the tea bushes are shaded with translucent nets, which reduces photosynthesis. The result: fewer bitter substances - and a significantly more complex aroma. The Morimotos are among the pioneering organic tea farmers in southern Japan and cultivate their bushes with traditional knowledge and modern care.
