The Miyama Kirishima Houjicha (organic) comes from the high altitudes of Kagoshima and is carefully processed there by Shutaro Hayashi. For this tea, he uses the autumn harvest, the leaves of which are first processed as sencha and then gently roasted. The result is far more than a simple everyday tea.

The roasting process gives the leaves a marbled coloration of warm red and brown tones - almost like autumn leaves in a light mist. The infusion reveals nutty, full-bodied notes, elegantly accompanied by a subtle sweetness. This houjicha is both grounding and surprisingly smooth.

• Quantity: 1-2 teaspoons per 200 ml of water
• Water temperature: 80-85 °C
• Brewing time: 60 seconds for the first infusion, 15-20 seconds for subsequent infusions (up to four possible)
