Description

This is the classic one amongst the Kagoshima Matchas. It has a slightly nutty flavour, well balanced between bitterness and sweetness, an intensive fragrance and a deep green colour. We recommend this Matcha for the low viscosity fluid preparation (Usucha). If you prefer a strong taste, it can also be used for a high viscosity fluid preparation (Koicha).
Matchas are freshly ground at the company location at Diepholz- a significant advantage in the race against the time because the tea is very sensitive and starts to oxidise as soon as it comes into contact with oxygen. Since the fine powder cannot be packed under a 100% vacuum, the production has a significant freshness advantage.

The quality is good, based on the colour, and the powder easily dissolves into water at the correct temperature. However, there is a bitter aftertaste for me, so I won’t be buying this particular brand again. This is one of the best matcha I've tasted, it has a very fruity and sweet smell and taste and there's also some grassy notes and a balanced bitterness.
I can also confirm the nutty aroma.

The sourness and umami are not overpowering.
I prefer this one over the Keiko Tekiro because it has less bitterness and still some freshness. bitterness.
