Go En (Kabuse Tamaryokucha) - organic green tea with depth and character
If you are looking for a tea that not only impresses with its excellent quality, but also with its botanical sophistication, Go En will open up new horizons for you. From the very first sip, you can feel that this tea is different - subtle, complex and full of depth. The tea leaves come from the noble cultivar combination Oku Midori and Minami Sayaka - two varieties that are prized for their exceptional sweetness and fresh, green aroma. A real experience for mindful tea moments.
The Go En is a highly shaded Tamaryokucha, also known as Mushi-Guri-Cha: As with Sencha or Gyokuro, the leaves are steamed, but instead of being rolled into needles, they are given their elegantly curled shape in a rotating bamboo drum - a traditional method that balances taste and structure particularly finely.
Taste & aroma profile
Gentle umami notes, embedded in a lovely, almost creamy sweetness, meet a hint of fresh herbs. The Go En unfolds its aromas in a complex and patient way - almost like a conversation that grows in depth with every cup. Perfect for anyone who doesn't want to drink their tea on the side, but wants to experience it consciously.
Botany, craft, origin
The combination of the two shrub varieties is no coincidence: Oku Midori gives the tea a naturally sweet soul - soft, harmonious, round. Minami Sayaka, on the other hand, adds a lively green hue, almost like the play of light from morning dew on young tea leaves. Due to the intensive shading before the harvest, the plants produce a particularly high amount of theanine - which is not only noticeable in terms of taste, but also in the calming effect of the tea.

In-depth knowledge for tea connoisseurs
Although Go En has many of the flavor characteristics of a high-quality Gyokuro, it remains a Tamaryokucha due to its shape - and that is quite rare. In Japan, this type of tea is only produced in very few regions. The curled leaf structure is not only a visual curiosity, but also influences the infusion behavior: The leaves release their aromas step by step, making this tea an ideal companion for several devoted infusions.
A tea like a garden in spring - calm, structured and full of subtle nuances. Just right for anyone who sees tea as a mindfulness practice.Details at a glance
