This high-quality drinking-grade matcha comes from the purest craftsmanship and genuine dedication - directly from the Morimoto family in Miyazaki, on the southernmost main island of Japan. Here, where subtropical climate and traditional tea culture meet, the Bio Morimoto Matcha Gyokujou was composed from the most delicate leaves of the Oku Midori variety - carefully shaded (kabuse) for a full two to three weeks before being ground into a fine, emerald green powder.

The result: a velvety, deep matcha with a distinctly soft body, subtle sweetness and a mild, complex umami flavor. Gyokujou means "most precious jewel" - a name that more than describes this tea. The texture: airy and fine. The color: bright chlorophyll green. The taste: calm, but not shy. Complex, but never overloaded. And harmonious throughout.
